The Land of Thai

Sa Wat Dee! {Hello!}
Can I start by saying life is so good? I mean despite the jet-leg and our very chaotic flights, we finally made it to Thailand even though we were a day late leaving Toronto and missed a day and a half of our Contiki tour.

I am so lucky to be able to travel especially with Jeff by my side! So where do I even start? Thailand has been quite the adventure. From elephant trekking, to snokelling with sharks and finding Nemo, to relaxing in paradise ... What can I say, its been pretty cool. We stayed at Sawatdee Patong Resort in Phuket 'the party city' and boy did we party, our first night out on the town we saw a lady boy show which turned into a 600 baht nap for me {and I think a few others}, drinking from buckets to seeing a pin pong show on Banglar road. It was an interesting night to say the least.

Next we moved on to Koh Phi Phi island about a 3 hour ferry ride away. Loved the laid back attitude by day and crazy partying at night. This tiny island had so much to offer including Jared Leto!! The first day we island hopped to see all the beautiful beaches, snorkeled with sharks, found Nemo and even fed monkeys.
At night we strolled the people filled streets, watched May Thai fights and later headed to the beach to drink from buckets and party like rockstars. This was true paradise here no filters are needed the water was so clear and  turquoise just as the photos show.

Last stop was Krabi. The friendly staff at Aonog Cliff Beach Resort welcomed us with refreshing fruit drinks and handmade flower bracelets. We only stayed here for 2 short days before ending the tour. We climbed 12,000 steps to find big Buddha looking over the city, spent the next morning riding on the back of elephants and relaxing in hot springs later that afternoon. Thailand was true paradise, 10 days was not long enough to enjoy this beautiful country.
