Big Brother Canada baby!!!!

The best part about working for a television network is the perks of course!! If you didn't already know; you know now, Slice network is launching Big Brother Canada woot woot. I was lucky enough to score two tickets for J and I to the season premiere taping of the show, when the houseguests enter into the Bb house. How cool since I love love looooove the american version. Only thing is we had to keep it a secret until the taping went to air and we were not allowed to take any pictures while in the studio because they didn't want any footage to get leaked before the airing. However I managed to get a screen shot of J and I in the background behind the host see if you can spot us in the picture.

Just wait theres more

The day before the launch of Big Brother Canada they had a 'slop' food truck driving around the city to promote the season premiere and the best part is that Dan Gheesling from last season was there. And of course I had to ask if I could feed him my slop hehe. He was a bit hesitant at first but trust and expecting the unexpected is part of BB. Dan was super nice so enjoy some of the fun photos we took together.

Love Day

I really dislike Valentine's day its such a hallmark holiday! I feel we should show love everyday not just celebrate it once a year. But it's hard not to love it when you have the most handsomest stud muffin on earth to celebrate it with!
I had to work but my lucky cupid had the day off. Anyways I got up super early so I had time to sneak off to Tim Hortons to pick up J favourite muffin {fruit explosion} and leave a few sweet little notes before I disappeared for eight hours.

Then I came home to this ...

Pink everything... Candies,noodles,froth on my latte. He knows me too well!

We celebrated by eating spaghetti with homemade meat balls while watching Lady & the Tramp, which I believe I feel asleep near the end {as per usual} followed by dessert; strawberry & cheese danish's with a side of chocolate cover strawberries and a latte prepared by my lovely served with pink froth on top.

Snowmageddon

Fridays weather forecast read; {shit show, or should I say shit-ton-of-snow} they had been calling for a storm to brew Friday into Saturday morning, well for once the dear weather man was correct! We got hit with the storm of the century. { Maybe not quite } but 25cm of snow in my opinion is ALOT! There was a point in my life I once enjoyed the snow, the way it covered the fields after a fresh snow fall or the way it glistens during the night as it floats down past the street light, but now it seems to just heighten my anxiety with each snow flake and every centimeter that stacks up. Friday morning was quite the adventure trekking to work in a blizzard with unplowed roads and sidewalks, but I made it. Talk about great way to start off the weekend.
As always its an amazing weekend no matter what happens as long as J is home to spend it with me and with Valentines day just around the corner I wanted to treat him early. { even though I hate vday!!! } The Harlem Globetrotters were in Toronto for the weekend so I bought us tickets for Saturday night. I wasn't sure with the way the weather was going if the show would be cancelled or what but the show went on and it was great and seats were actually pretty decent too. Enjoy some of our photos

The mascots name was 'Globie' he was hilarious. They played the song 'I get knocked down' by chumbawamba when the knocked down part came on Globie dropped face first onto the ground it was so funny everyone was dying of laughter.

The final score...Harlem for the win!!!

Pamper your Locks!!

Ladies, these frigid temperatures have not been very kind and its leaving our hair and skin so dry and thirsty. Let's give our hair a little love this weekend, It’s exhausted! This do-it-yourself home mask will leave your hair shinny, soft and hydrated and the best part is it’s SO simple!

What you'll need:
•Half an avocado {rich in vitamins and minerals}
•Half a banana {Potassium, vitamin B6}
•1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil {vitamin E}
•1 egg {Rich in fats, proteins & naturally moisturizing}
•A shower cap/or a plastic bag
•20-30 minutes of spare pampering time

**WARNING. I would skip the Banana!! It left chunks in my hair and I had to wash my hair three times to get it out!!! Other then that my hair was left soft and silky.

1. Crush the avocado in a bowl, mix in the other ingredients and combine until you have a smooth creamy texture.

2. Massage into hair from roots to tips.

3. Cover you hair with a shower cap or plastic bag { I know classy right! }

4. Leave in your hair for about 20-30 minutes.
5. Repeat twice a month to maintain healthy hair.
